Every two years, Le Mans Classic brings history back to life on one of the world’s most legendary circuits. But 2025 marked a turning point: for the first time, Peter Auto has announced the event will now be held annually — a celebration of heritage racing that grows ever stronger.

This year, Drive Vintage was proud to be part of the magic — not just as spectators, but as active participants with three exceptional Lancia prototypes from our client’s collection.

The line-up? Nothing less than the best of Lancia’s endurance legacy:

• The Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo Group 5

• The Lancia LC1

• And the mighty Lancia LC2

All three cars were invited to take part in official parades throughout the weekend, offering thousands of enthusiasts a rare opportunity to see and hear these icons in motion, just as they were meant to be. The roar of the turbo engines and the unmistakable silhouettes of these machines on the Mulsanne Straight made it clear: these are not museum pieces — they’re alive, and they’re still writing stories.

Founded in 2002 by Peter Auto in collaboration with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), Le Mans Classic was created to honor the rich legacy of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, bringing together historic race cars that once competed on the circuit from the 1920s through to the 1980s. Held on the full 13.6 km Circuit de la Sarthe, the event quickly became a major fixture on the international historic motorsport calendar, praised for its authenticity, atmosphere, and incredible diversity of cars.
